I am a Junior DE (senior next year), im about 6'2 210 and i want to continue to get stronger and faster this year, i am extremely inflexible and think that as a part of getting faster could be helped by stretching. Anyone have any good websites that list a routine of stretches that would help me since my search button is not working. I really would appreciate it, and although my Junior season wasnt anything special i have started to receive intrest through some letters and my coach tells me that schools are talking to him, based on my size and speed. I played mostly offense this year since we dont have a down DE that i would play in college but schools are still intrested and i play more of a OLB spot in hs that lines up on the line. 5 days of rest and then back to putting that work in!

I don't know how good this one is, but give it a try.

From what I've been reading lately, there's some doubt as to whether stretching actually helps in speed.

flexibility and form are the two most importants for running, both speed and long distance endurance.

First to clarify:
You must realize that flexibility is important for speed, stretching -- at least the way it is often done, does NOT improve speed nor flexibility.
Stretching is what is done to enhance flexibility. Static/passive stretching is a very poor way to enhance flexibility. This is where you stretch a muscle, and hold it there. Flexibility is velocity specific, which means if your sport requires flexibility while moving at high speeds, then static passive stretching is unlikey to help at all. In fact, static/passive stretching may increase the likelihood of injury rather than decrese it.
Go to http://www.Stadion.com for the best Flexibility info I know of. It is awesome.
