Hey whats up fam.Yo i havent been here in a while so i wanted to ask this question.Ok well the DBcoach asked me to play CB.So i was wondering if i should switch to CB or stay at RB.I think im pretty fast b/c i ran a 4.8 40 going like 80 % of my speed so i think im fast.I played a pick up game on like wed and i was getting burned alot but it wasnt/c im not fast it was b/c i had a late reaction turning around to look for the ball.Do you think that this is possible to be worked on during offseason or is it soumthing that will take much longer.PEACE

Play both. They are on seperate sides of the ball. You can practice backpedaling, and doing cone drills to help change of direction. Just practice gaurding someone 1 on 1 for practice.

As a fellow DB I can tell you that it happens to all of us. Don't give up though. DB is just like anything else, the more you do it and the more comfortable you are with it, the better you will do. The reaction time will come through repetition. I recommend doing cone drills for foot speed and possibly finding a QB and WR at your school that are wanting to work on their route timing and jump in to work on your DB skills.

Yea, Champ Baily got burned by TO a few weeks ago, but last week got a TD off an INT. So you will bounce back.
