today i ran a 4.53 in the 40 yrd dash.it was me and like 10 kids just timing our froties on an indoor track. one kid ran a 4.43. at the beginning of the year i ran a 4.67 now i run a 4.53. is it easily possible for me to run a 4.45 or lower 40 time by next season?
i think i am going to do chris carter's fast program

do some math and figure it out. Just by looking if you Just stay consistant with it. work hard you can get to it. Good job on the gains. Is it ht or et?

It's ht.

If it were electric time he'd be flirting with Mike Vick's times.

It is very possible. As your relative body strength improves, so does your speed potential.

It is unlikely that you have optimal strength to body weight ratio at your age, so you likely have a good deal of upside potential.

If your technique is bad, consider it good, because if your technique is poor and you run fast, you can definitely improve by improvement of your technique.

Mike Vick runs a 4.19. I doubt any of us could ever be able to get that fast.

And to the starter of this, you definitely don't run a 4.5 as a freshman squatting just 225, so your friends must have really slow thumbs. I don't know you but based on your squat you probably have closer to a 4.8-4.9 et because I have a friend who squats 325 and runs a 4.6, and he's a senior.

We had one freshman run a 4.55 and started some games on varsity this year at corner and a 3rd runningback freshmas run a 4.61 so his speed is pretty accurate. It's genetics my friend.

Vick does not run a 4.19, the NFL Combine record for quarterbacks is the 4.39 run last year by Matt Jones out of Arkansas (now a WR w/ Jacksonville).

Vick has the record at Va-Tech for QB's running a 4.25.

But it was hand-timed on an indoor track.

(DeAngelo Hall, CB for the Falcons, has the V-tech record with 4.19 ran on the same conditions.)

Dang, my older bro was a QB and ran a 4.4, but he was also made it to state in hurdles, he graduated in 1984.
