For Christmas, along with a bunch of stuff i wanted (a chain, an ipod adapter to listen to in the car, sum 100 doller headphones, a bunch of clothes, and a bunch of other nice stuff) i received around 500 dollers. I have decided to dedicate 325 dollers to training and the rest (175) to a car which i am going to try to split the cost with my parents.

Anyway, with this 325 dollers used for training I'm not really sure wat i want to get. What i do know is i want to become a better DEnd, get bigger, stronger, and faster. I already have a bench press and sum other equipment with dumbells at home and already have a membership to a gym so i'm all set their with equipment and have more than enough supplements.

I'm thinking of getting the Joe Defranco's combine video and the new Sparq training kit. Although I know i still would have sum money left.

Two questions:

1) People who have used the Joe Defrancos combine video and/or sparq training kit, what were your results back? I would appreciate any feedback on these 2 products.

2) If you were in my situation, or have any products that you really liked that would make em a better DE, bigger, stronger, or faster (or hopefully a combination!) please reccomend me something. But if you were in my situation, what products would you buy that you have found to give great results or heard great things from?

Hey dude.. I have wasted $2,453.75 (yea thats the right amount) some stuff worked... For me personally with my diet im starting (which is the most important part of my training) i spend around $400 a month on food and some supps.. To be a better DE i.e.(bigger,faster,stronger) if you wanna be Bigger go to Burger King if you want to be a Lean big get a good diet... If you wanna be faster/agile.. Buy some stuff from sparq i.e.(Hurrdles,balance board) and to get stronger eat right and lift weights...

The most important part of training is your food.. Hey which sounds better to you

Person 1
250 6'2 with a 4.8 40 and is Ripped or at least Lean.. And hey all it took was food..

Person 2
Spent 225 bucks on equipment and has to eat at Burger King and is still 250 6'2 and might run a 4.8 with the equipment he bought but isnt lean he is a Fat 250...

Hope you learn from my mistakes i have a bullet belt, platform shoes, sled, etc.. Just eat right, train right, and work like a Mofo to be the best...

Good luck hope this helps

How do you like the sled? Where did you get yours and how much did it cost? Results?

Thanks for the help and marry xmas

The combine vid isn't actually a great "training" tool. It's a nice combine prep tool but you'd be better off with equipment or actual 1 on 1 training with a CSCS.

The sled was alright... I mean hell you could make one if you wanted too.. I got mine from the same place that does the strength shoe (which Blows) www.strength-systems.com.. but if you wanna get a good product go over to sparq and get the package with the hurdles and everything... Might wanna get a balance board too since a lineman does need some balance...

P.S.- Thanks for the Christmas thing,,,but im Jewish >>>LOL<<<

If you want to make your money last just get the products you cant find anywhere else through sparq and check local shops for common items like cones, med balls, etc. They generally are cheaper there.

Start off with these - agility ladder, rubber medicine ball, cones, stopwatch, measuring tape

I like Joe's program (I know nothing about the Sparq program).

However, use it when you are preparing for the combines, not to actually get ready to play football.

I get paid good money to train people for the combines and am very aware of the benefit of good combine scores, but they do little to help on the football field. (There is some carry over, but not much). Learn HOW to run, how to change direction, how to react to the ground, etc.

Then learn the tricks that guys like Joe and myself teach for guys going from high school to college or college to pro.
